WinKontrol Software
WinKontrol is the software that runs the Guard Tour System PES. It processes the data downloaded from the PES readers and turns it into clear reports, so supervisors can see how and when each patrol was walked.

WinKontrol is no longer being developed
Development is finished. The last release is the final one. There will be no further updates, no new features, and no fixes.
Everything that used to require the paid PROFESSIONAL licence is now included for everyone, at no extra charge. There is nothing left to buy and nothing to upgrade to.
We no longer service WinKontrol or support it. This is not us turning customers away. It is a program that has been in the field for decades, and many installations have been running for twenty years and still work. Keeping software of that age current is not something we can do, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a service we cannot provide.
The hardware is a separate matter. PES readers and accessories are still available, and we continue to supply spare parts for systems already in the field. Only the software is finished.
What WinKontrol does
The program lets you set up the names and identification of the employees, the checkpoints, and the events. You define routes - sets of checkpoints in a certain order - and the shifts that work them. Once the readers are downloaded, WinKontrol matches the recorded touches against the planned routes and shows exactly what happened on each tour.
Routes can be configured for:
- A strictly defined direction the guard must follow
- A random checkpoint order
- Tolerated missing checkpoints
- Extra checkpoints outside the route
Reporting
Reporting is WinKontrol's main strength. It offers more than twenty reports, from a simple tour overview to detailed per-employee analysis. Reports can be printed or exported to HTML or CSV, and they can be customized and saved for reuse.
License versions
WinKontrol used to be sold as two tiers, with PROFESSIONAL as a paid upgrade. Now that the software has reached end of life, both are included for everyone at no extra charge. There is nothing left to buy.
STANDARD license

System and network
WinKontrol runs on Windows XP and later and is available in several languages. It can be operated on a single PC or in a network with a shared database, so several supervisors work from the same data.
The software also communicates directly with the TMD Adapter, the data chips, and the readers, so you can download tours and upgrade reader firmware from the same place.

Windows 10 note: TMD Adapters made before 2013 may not be recognized on Windows 10 and may need modification or replacement. If your adapter is not detected, contact TOMST.

There are no software licenses or upgrades left to sell, and WinKontrol is not serviced any more. The readers are a different story: write to us about PES hardware, accessories, or spare parts for a system already in the field.
